“Questioning & Justice Law can’t be abolished,” Sadrist MP says
KARBALA / IraqiNews.com: The Legislator of the National Alliance and Leader in the Sadrist Trend, Jawad al-Hasnawi, has said on Monday that “the (anti-Baath) Law on Question & Justice is a red-line that can’t be abolished or ignored,” pointing out that his bloc in the Iraqi Parliament looks forward to receive service ministries in the new cabinet. “The said Law had been approved by the people, and we must respect the law, meaning that the Federal Court is the only authority that is allowed to lift the Baath-eradication from some political personalities, who had been covered by the eradication law in a previous time,” Hasnawi said. He pointed out that the Liberal Bloc, “the political representative of the Sadrist Trend in the Parliament, looks forward to receive service ministries, to enable them offer best services for the Iraqi people as whole.” “We wish to see the citizens in all Iraqi provinces and this can’t be achieved unless through holding the service ministries,” Hasnawi said, saying: “we look forward to get the ministries of health, agriculture, housing & reconstruction and industry & minerals.” SKH/SR 26
