Security deterioration escalates in different parts of Iraq

SALAH AL-DIN / IraqiNews.com: A number of Iraqi cities have witnesses a series of explosions and attacks by armed men on security men and Iraqi citizens over the past 24 hours, according to security sources on Wednesday. In Salah al-Din Province, its Balad city had witnessed an attack on a Turkish driver, who was among a convoy of supplies for the U.S. Army in the city on Wedneday, according to a Salah al-Din Police source. “An explosive device blew up under a convoy of security companies, accompanying US Army vehicles, carrying supplies for the Army in Balad city, seriously wounding a Turkish driver, he said Balad is 75 kms to the south Tikrit, the capital of Salahaddin Province, 175 kms to the north of Baghdad. He added that another explosive device went off in central Baghdad‘s Sinak district, wounding three civilians. Southern Iraq‘s Missan Province had also witnessed the abduction of a two-week-old child inside its capital city of Amara early on Wednesday, which a security source said that the child was abducted in Al-Askari district in central Amara, by a woman specialized in children abduction. The source did not give further details, but said “the police and Army forces have cordoned the district, where the abduction took place, searching for the abducted child.” Amara, the capital of Missan Province, is 390 kms to the south of Baghdad.
