8 weightlifters to represent Iraq in world contest

BAGHDAD / IraqiNews.com: The Iraqi weightlifting federation named eight athletes to represent their country in the world championship that is going to be hosted in Turkey next week, according to the federation chief on Thursday. “The weightlifters will participate in the world championship in the Turkish city of Antalya on September 12-24,” Saleh Muhammad Kadhim told IraqiNews.com news agency. “The administrative delegation will be led by Muhammad Kadhim Mazaal, the federation’s secretary-general,” he added.
