Arbil to retain beauty as capital of Kurdistan

ARBIL / IraqiNews.com: The Governorate of Iraqi Kurdistan’s Capital city of Arbil has taken several decisions, aimed at “keeping its beauty, in order to reflect the civilized face of the city, being the capital of Kurdistan Region,” according to its Governor, Taher Abdullah on Tuesday. “Arbil‘s Organization Committee has taken a series of new decisions to protect the beauty of the city and to put an end to violations in this respect. This is intended to coincide with its development, being the capital of Kurdistan Region,” the Governor pointed out. The governor continued that the Committee’s meeting was held under his chairmanship and attended by directors of police, traffic, anti-crime officers, as well as the directors of parks, civil defense and other officials. Arbil, the capital of the Province that carries the same name, is 360 km to the north of the Iraqi capital of Baghdad.SKH/SR 1
