PRT holds meeting in Kurdistan

ARBIL / IraqiNews.com: A delegation from the U.S. Provincial Reconstruction Team (P.R.T) held on Monday a meeting with the Non-Governmental Organizations Council in Kurdistan (IKNN) in Arbil to discuss the civil organizations situation, according to a statement of the council. “The delegation, led by Dayan Crew, discussed in Arbil the situation of the civil organizations in the region and throughout Iraq,” said the statement received by IraqiNews.com news agency. “The meeting tackled ways of boosting cooperation between the organizations and to increase the coordination between the United States and the civil organizations in Kurdistan region,” it added. The Non-Governmental Organizations Council was established in 2000 in Kurdistan and contains 130 organizations from Arbil, Sulaimaniya, Duhuk, Ninewa and Kirkuk. SH (P) 1
