Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) – The Iraqi Civil Aviation Authority (ICAA) confirmed on Thursday that committing to international standards will help lift the ban imposed by the European Union (EU) on Iraqi Airways, according to the Iraqi News Agency (INA).

A statement issued by the ICAA mentioned that the president of the authority, Imad Abdul Razzaq Al-Asadi, met with a delegation from the EU at Baghdad International Airport, where both sides discussed work mechanisms and possible coordination to develop the civil aviation sector in Iraq.

Al-Asadi emphasized that cooperation with the EU is part of the directives of the Iraqi government to complete the development tasks of civil aviation, as mentioned in the statement.
