Iranian consul opens school in Nassiriya

THI-QAR / IraqiNews.com: Iranian Consul on Monday opened a school financed by his country in Thi-Qar at a cost of one billion dinars. “The school is part of 14 schools built by the Islamic republic for the Iraqi government,” Consul Mohammad Reza Baghaban told IraqiNews.com news agency, noting that six schools have been already built and handed over to the Iraqi education ministry. “The remaining eight schools will be built in the coming few months as a gift from Iran to Iraq,” he added. Nassiriya, the capital of Thi-Qar, is 380 km south of Baghdad. SH (P)/SR 261
