New building for Wasit University’s Agriculture College opened

WASSIT / IraqiNews.com: A new building for the College of Agriculture in southern Iraq’s Wassit University was opened by the rector of the University, Jawad Al-Mousawi, on Wednesday, being one of the projects of the Ministry of Higher Education & Scientific Research for the current academic year. “The new 3-story building, to receive 140 male and female students, is comprised of 18 halls distributed among 6 study halls, 4 laboratories, a large conference hall and another computer hall for scientific and academic purposes,” the University’s media spokesman told IraqiNews.com. Wassit University includes 7 colleges – Engineering, Sciences, Education, Administration & Economics, Basic Education, Literature and Law, apart from two colleges of Medicine that are part of Karama Hospital in Kut, the capital of Wassit Province.
