Wassit police chief demands to appoint 3000 cops

WASSIT / IraqiNews.com: The chief of the Wassit police demanded on Tuesday to appoint 3000 policemen, asserting that there is a need for that number. “The Wassit police department has completed a comprehensive study on the police work mechanism, which shows the need to around 3000 policemen to spread them on its 60 police department in Wassit,” General Khalaf Shafi told IraqiNews.com news agency. “The plan underlined also the need to buy new equipments to detect explosives and to raise the cops’ salaries,” he added.
