Four wanted Al-Qaeda members arrested in northern Wassit Province

WASSIT / IraqiNews.com: Four demanded members of al-Qaeda Organization, including its leader in northern Wassit Province have been arrested by the Rapid Reaction Forces (RRD) in the Province, RRD’s Commander said on Monday. “An RRD force in Wassit has arrested early on MOnday four wanted members of al-Qaeda Organization, including one of its leaders in Suweira city, 135 kms to the north of Kut, the center of Wassit Province,” Lt. Col. Aziz al-Imara told IraqiNews.com News Agency. He said the four arrested men, inhabitants of southern Iraq’s Qadisiya Province, who had moved to Wassit Province escaping from security forces there, pointing out that the detention took place according to “intelligence information and in implementation of Article 4 from the Iraq’s Terrorism Law.
