URGENT: Second explosion close to Anbar Government’s Compound:

ANBAR / IraqiNews.com: An explosion, details of which were not known, took place close to Anbar Government’s compound on Monday, close to the same venue of a suicide attack early in the day,” according to an Anbar security source. “An explosion, details of which were not known yet, took place when citizens, medics and security forces, had gathered around the compound, comprising the Anbar government, Provincial Council, Police Command and other security offices, not far from the venue of the suicide blast that took place earlier in the day,” the security source said. He said that “watching cameras of Anbar police had shown more than 14 civilians killed or wounded, as a first result of the suicide booby-trapped car attack,” adding that Anbar Police had imposed a curfew on the areas around the Government Compound, preventing citizens to get closer to the venue of the blast, as a precautionary measure. Details of the second explosion, losses or casualties it had caused were not known till the time of this report before noon local time. Ramadi, the capital of Anbar Province, had witnessed on 12/12/2010 a suicide booby-trapped car explosion against a checkpoint, close to the first gate of Anbar Government’s Complex, killing 6 people and wounding 18 others, followed by another explosion of a barrel, filled with explosives, planted by unknown gunmen at the entrance of Baghdad Garage, close to the said complex in Ramadi, but caused no casualties.
