Islamic State of Iraq leader arrested in Falluja

ANBAR / IraqiNews.com: Policemen arrested on Wednesday a leader of the Islamic State of Iraq armed group and seized “Police forces managed on Wednesday (March 24) to arrest the war minister of the Islamic State of Iraq armed group after receiving intelligence information on his presence in a region in al-Aameriya district, southern Falluja,” the source told IraqiNews.com news agency. “Security forces raided the house in accordance with an arrest warrant and arrested him without resistance,” he added. “They searched the house and found two explosive belts and three bombs,” he said. “The detainee is involved in armed attacks against civilians and Iraqi forces in the past years and was planning to launch attacks in separate areas in Anbar.” Ramadi, the capital of Anbar, is 110 km west of Baghdad.  SH (TP)/SR 768
