Six killed, similar number injured, in Anbar attack.

ANBAR / IraqiNews.com – Four Iraqi soldiers and two policemen have been have been killed and six others injured in an armed attack by unknown gunmen on a joint checkpoint in west Iraq ’s Anbar Province on Saturday, a security source said.   “An armed group attacked a joint Army-police checkpoint in west Iraq ’s Anbar Province , killing six of them, including 4 soldiers and 2 policemen, and wounding six others, including 4 soldiers and 2 policemen,” the source told IraqiNews.com news agency.   The source said that the security forces have imposed a cordon around the venue of the attack, searching for the gunmen, who escaped to an unknown destination, adding that the gunmen used light and middle-size weapons in their attack.   Ramadi, the center of Anbar Province , is 110 kms to the west of Baghdad.
