Anbar lifts curfew at 02:00 pm local time

ANBAR / IraqiNews.com: The curfew, imposed on west Iraq ’s Anbar Province early on Wednesday, would be lifted at 02:00 pm local time, Anbar’s Operations Command announced.   “The curfew, imposed on different towns of Anbar Province , would be lifted at 02:00 hours this afternoon,” the Command’s source told IraqiNews.com news agency.   He said that the imposition of the curfew had been imposed due to the existence of a plan to attack civilians and government institutions in different parts of the Province, according to intelligence information.   “Strict security measures had been taken to protect security and government institutions in the inlets and outlets of Anbar cities and towns, to avoid any emergency incident,” the source added.   The Anbar Operations Command had announced on Tuesday evening the imposition of curfew on the Province, that began at 06:00 am local time, and until further notice.   SKH (IT)     463
