Policeman killed, 3 others injured in Falluja attack

ANBAR / IraqiNews.com: An Iraqi policeman has been killed and three others injured in an armed attack by unknown gunmen on a police checkpoint south of Falluja city of west Iraq ’s Anbar Province on Saturday, a security source reported.   “A group of unknown gunmen have attacked a police checkpoint on Saturday morning at Amiriyat al-Falluja township in Anbar Province , killing 3 policemen and wounding 3 others, along with causing material damage to the checkpoint,” the security source told IraqiNews.com news agency.   He said that preliminary investigations have shown that the gunmen have used middle-size and light weapons, adding that an Army and Police force began searching for the gunmen, who flew to an unknown destination after the attack.   The city of Falluja , the largest city in Anbar Province , is 45 km to the west of Baghdad .   SKH (ST)
