Iraq Kurdistan PM tackles bilateral ties with Palestinian FM

ARBIL / IraqiNews.com: Iraqi Kurdistan Region Prime Minister Burham Saleh on Saturday discussed with Palestinian Foreign Minister Riad al-Malki in Arbil means to further bilateral relations and political developments in Iraq and the region, according to a media source in Saleh’s office. “Saleh received Malki who arrived in the Kurdish city of Arbil today (Feb. 5) and the two sides discussed bilateral relations in the political, economic and cultural spheres,” the source told IraqiNews.com news agency. The source quoted Malki’s call to “open a Palestinian consulate in Arbil to boost relations between the two sides”. During a press conference he held with Saleh, the Palestinian top diplomat said he extended an official invitation for the Kurdistan premier to visit Palestine. AmR (TP)/SR 922
