Kurdistan parliament holds regular session, opposition absence

ARBIL / IraqiNews.com: The Parliament of Kurdistan region, held on Tuesday, a regular session on Tuesday, while the opposition boycotted it. “The parliament held a meeting today with the presence of 59 lawmakers, who discussed the first reading of three draft laws; the 2011 Kurdistan region budget, the public service council in the region and the patient’s rights bill,” the media advisor of the parliament, Tareq Jouhar, told IraqiNews.com news agency. “The opposition’s  boycott did not affect the quorum,” he added. For his part, MP from the al-Taaghier List, Adnan Othman, said that “we have several notes on the budget; the payments mechanism and the investment projects in the province.” SH (TP) 438
