EU’s Legal Commision’s office opened in Kurdistan
ARBIL / IraqiNews.com: The European Union’s Legal Committee was opened in Arbil, the capital of north Iraq’s Kurdistan Region on Wednesday, the Chairman of the Region’s Foreign Relations Department, Falah Mustapha, told a joint news conference in Arbil with the Committee’s Chairman in Iraq, Francesco Diaz. The announcement was made on the official position of Kurdistan government, after a joint meeting between the Region’s Foreign Relations Department and the European Union’s Chairman in Arbil. Mustapha, according to the position, had “expressed rejoice and satisfaction of Kurdistan Region for the opening of the Office of the Legal Committee of the European Union, in Arbil officially. Diaz, on his part, was quoted as saying that “the opening of the said Office, shall grant us the opportunity to expand and implement our work and activities in a better way.” He said that the EU had opened three offices in Iraq till now, the main office in the Iraqi capital of Baghdad, the second that was opened in Arbil on Wednesday, whilst a third office is expected to be opened in southern Iraq’s Basra Province soon.
