Talabani, Barzani, reiterate necessity for understanding among Iraqi political parties.

ARBIL / IraqiNews.com: Iraqi President Jalal Talabani and north Iraq Kurdistan Region’s President Massoud Barzani, have reiterated, in a meeting in Arbil on Sunday, necessity to boost efforts to achieve closer viewpoints and understanding among political blocs in Iraq and to settle the problem of the security cabinet posts, along with commitment of their Parties and Kurdistan Parliament towards the circumstances on Kurdistan Region.   Both Leaders have said in a joint statement after their meeting in Salahaddin Resort, north of Arbil, that they discussed the recent developments on both Iraqi and Kurdistan arenas.   As regards to the circumstances in Kurdistan Region, both Leaders have reiterated necessity for commitment towards the decisions of the polit-bureaus of their parties, the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan (PUK), led by Talabani, and the Kurdistan Democratic Party (KDP), led by Barzani, as well as decisions taken by the Kurdistan Parliament, aimed to settle the problems peacefully, along with continuing the process of reforms and presenting best services for citizens.   “Both sides had also reiterated during the meeting, necessity to boost efforts to bring viewpoints closer and understanding among political forces in Iraq , and to settle the issue of the security cabinet posts and necessity for commitment towards political agreements, being part of Barzani’s Initiative,” the statement concluded.   SKH (RT) 505
