 Iraq’s Minister of Electricity meets with Hitachi Energy and Linxon

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) – Iraq’s Minister of Electricity, Ziad Ali Fadel, met with the Hitachi Energy Senior Vice President Daniel Assandri and Linxon CEO Stefan Reisacher, as well as their MEA Regional Management delegation.

During the meeting, it was highlighted that the Ministry’s collaboration with Hitachi and Linxon will enable it to successfully accomplish a number of transportation-related projects.

According to the Minister, the completion of Iraq’s transformational stations, including those at Al-Adala, Al-Rabi’, Al-Turath, Al-Hay, New Karbala, Al-Husseiniyah, and Bab Al-Sham stations, depends on collaboration and significant agreements with Hitachi and Linxon from a strategic standpoint.

Furthermore, the Minister advised the Undersecretary for Transport and Distribution Affairs, Nizar Qahtan Al-Tamimi, to meet with a company delegation to discuss including a loan to finance the renovation and expansion of the 400 KV ultra-high voltage substations for the old Babylon, South Baghdad, Diyala, and Wasit substations.
