Barzani’s mother passes away in Arbil

ARBIL / IraqiNews.com: The mother of Iraqi Kurdistan Region’s President Massoud Barzani, Lady Hamayel Mahmoud Agha Zibary, has died in the city of Arbil on Wednesday, according to a statement by the Political Bureau of the Kurdistan Democratic Party (KDP).   “The mother of Kurdistan Region’s President, Massoud Barzani, Mrs. Hamayil Mahmoud Agha Zibary, has passed away in Arbil today (Wednesday),” the statement, as was received by IraqiNews.com news agency, announced, without giving further details.   Lady Hamayil Khan was the wife of Late Mulla Mustapha Barzani, the Commander of the Kurdish Revolution and the Founder of the Kurdistan Democratic Party (KDP) in 1946, who passed away in a U.S. hospital in 1979, and she is Sister of Iraq’s Foreign Minister, Hoshiar Zibary.   SKH (TS)/SR 838
