Arbil International Theater Festival concludes activity

ARBIL / IraqiNews.com: The Arbil International Theater Festival has concluded its works on Saturday in the building of Iraqi Kurdistan’s Ministry of Culture & Youth.   “The Arbil International Theater Festival is considered a window of Kurdistan to the whole world, while the Kurdistan Region has become a center for the eyes after the opening of investment for clear development progress and a strategic position for capitals and companies, along with its openness in the artistic and cultural aspects, including cinematography and theater,” Kurdistan’s Culture Minister, Kawa Mahmoud said in a speech at the end of the Festival.   The Theater Artist, Farmask Mustapha said in a speech at the conclusion of the Festival that Kurdistan shall witness the holding of similar festivals by the Ministry of Culture & Youth.   The Festival had witnessed presenting prizes for the best two female actresses, best two actors, best theatrical act and the best art of theatrical presentation, while Germany had cultivated the majority of the prizes.   Noteworthy is that the Arbil International Theater Festival was organized by Kurdistan’s Ministry of Culture & Youth during the period from Sept. 19 to 24, during which 12 theatrical acts were presented, along with the organization of special workshops for theatrical activity.   SKH (TI)/SR 244
