2nd Shipment of Electric Appliances within Japanese Loan land in Iraq:

BAGHDAD / IraqiNews.com: The Iraqi Electricity Ministry has announced on Saturdy the arrival In Iraq of the 2nd shipment of electrical appliances, sent by the Japanese Toyota Company, being part of the Japanese Soft Loan for Iraq. “The Electricity Ministry has received the 2nd shipment of electrical appliances, sent by the Japanese Toyota Company, being part of the Japanese Loan, including electric circuit breakers and spare parts, to be implemented in the rehabilitation of the electric power netwoks and electric power distribution networks inside citizens, townships and villages, aimed at improving the electric system in the country,” the Ministry’s Media Director, Musaab al-Mudarris, told IraqiNews.com news agency. Mudarris said that the “shipment was the 2nd among 6 shipments, each of which shall land once every two weeks, being part of the Japanese Soft Loan for Iraq, that covers 5 contracts.” The Iraqi Electricity Ministry had announced on 12/11/2010, the arrival of the 1st shipment of Japanese electric transformers. Noteworthy is that the Japanese government had granted Iraq a US$3.5 billion (b) soft loan, out of which the government had implemented the rehabilitation of southern Iraq‘s Khor al-Zubair Fertililzers Plant, the oil-exporting installations, development of engineering services for Basra Oil Refinery, along with the maintenance of the electricity sector, ports, irrigation, the Musayab Electric Power Station, the Samawa Bridge and building of several roads in Iraq.
