Iraq’s Grant for Journalists, Writers – Artists, to be paid Tuesday:

BAGHDAD / IraqiNews.com: The Iraqi government has decided to grant between 400,000 and 300,000 Iraqi dinars for Iraqi journalists, writers and artists each 3 months, first of which shall be paid next Tuesday, 4/1/2011, an Iraqi Culuture Ministry‘s official said on Thursday. “Our Ministry has completed all measures related to grant the award to the journalists, writers and artists,” the Culture Ministry’s Undersecretary, Taher al-Hmoud, told IraqiNews.com news agency. A committee, led by the Culture Ministry’s Undersecretary and membership of the Iraqi Journalists Syndicate, the Unions of Writers, Popular Poets, Photographers and the Artists Syndicate, had issued a list of two parts, to be covered by the awards that would continue permanently, the first with 400,000 dinars each three months and the second, 300,000 dinars.
