Iraqi President Talabani back home from visit to Syria:
BAGHDAD / IraqiNews.com: Iraqi President, Jalal Talabani, has returned to Baghdad from Damascus on Tuesday, after an official visit during which he carried out several meetings with high-ranking Syrian officials, an Iraqi Presidential statement said. “Talabani has returned to Baghdad on Tuesday from Damascus , where he concluded an official visit that started on February 12, 2011, during which he held two meetings with his Syrian Counterpart, Bashar al-Assad, centered on the development of bilateral relations and the activasion of the agreements concluded between the two countries,” the statement said. President Talabani’s visit to Damascus took place in response to an invitation by President Assad, during which he was accompanies by Iraq’s Ministers of Foreign Affairs, Hoshiar Zibari, Oil, Abdul-Kerim Lueiby and State Hassan al-Sari and the Chairman of the Iraqi Presidency Diwan (Office), Nasir al-Ani.
