CBI sells 201 million on Monday

BAGHDAD / IraqiNews.com: The Central Bank of Iraq (CBI) dollar sales on Monday registered $201.472 million, up from the previous session’s $193.961 million at an exchange rate of 1170 Iraqi dinars per dollar. “The demand hit $2.150 million in cash, covered at an exchange rate of 1,183 Iraqi dinars per dollar, and $199.322 million in foreign transfers outside the country, covered at an exchange rate of 1,183 Iraqi dinars per dollar,” according to a CBI news bulletin received by IraqiNews.com news agency. None of the 17 banks that participated in today’s session offered to sell dollars. The Central Bank of Iraq runs a daily auction from Sunday to Thursday. SH (TP) 645
