Iraqi government passes law on political parties

BAGHDAD / IraqiNews.com – Iraq ’s Council of Ministers has passed the draft-law on the political parties in the country and presenting it over to the Parliament for final approval, the State Minister & Official Spokesman of the government, Ali al-Dabbagh said on Wednesday.   “The Council of Ministers has decided in its 13 th session on Tuesday to pass the draft-law for political parties and pass it over to the Parliament for final approval, according to Articles 61 and 80 of the Constitution,” Dabbagh said in a statement, copy of which was received by IraqiNews.com news agency.   The statement gave no further details.   PT / SKH
