Baghdad Lord-Mayor’s Office allocations exceeds 600 billion (b) dinars

BAGHDAD / IraqiNews.com: The allocations of Baghdad Lord-Mayor’s Office from Iraq’s 2011 Investment Plan have reached about 600 billion (b) Iraqi dinars, the Office announced on Sunday. “The allocations of Baghdad Lord-Mayor’s Office from the Investment Plan of 2011 has reached about 600 billion (b) dinars, to be spent on implementing service projects for pure water, sewage, environment, roads and housing,” the Office’s Media Bureau announced. It said that Baghdad Lord-Mayor’s Office had laid a plan to allocate 224 billion (b) dinars from the said allocations for Baghdad Water Department, to enable it complete the Huge Baghdad’s Rusafa Water Project and the modernization of pure water networks. It pointed out that it had also allocated 190 billion (b) dinars for the Projects Department for Developing, Beautification and Asphalting the roads, as well as housing, along with allocating about 106 billions (b) for the Designs Department for Buildings, Services, Transportation and Telecommunications. 75 billion (b) dinars have been allocated for the Sewage Department, to complete the strategic projects in western and southwestern Baghdad, along with the main project that would connect the northern and eastern lines, as well as projects for improvement and expansion of sewage networks, along with environment projects.
