U.S. Defense Secretary in Baghdad on official visit

BAGHDAD / IraqiNews.com: The U.S. Defense Secretary, Robert Gates, has arrived in Baghdad on Wednesday evening on an official visit, the semi-official al-Iraqiya TV Channel reported.   “The American Defense Secretary, Robert Gates, has arrived in Baghdad on Wednesday night on an official visit,” the Channel said, but gave no further details.   Noteworthy is that the U.S. government had decided to withdraw all its military forces from Iraq by the end of this year, according to the Agreement, signed between both countries, thing that shall leave the Iraqi forces to face the security conditions by themselves, after eight years of U.S. occupation of Iraq in April, 2003.   SKH (TS)/SR 375
