Iraqi PM checks on Kuwait’s Emir health condition
Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) – The Iraqi Prime Minister, Mohammed Shia Al-Sudani, checked on the health condition of the Emir of Kuwait, Sheikh Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, during a phone call on Saturday with the Crown Prince of Kuwait, Sheikh Meshaal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah.
Al-Sudani wished a speedy recovery to the Emir of Kuwait and stability and progress to the people of Kuwait, according to a statement released by the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO).
The call also addressed bilateral relations between the two countries and strategies to develop and enhance cooperation in different fields to serve the interests of the people in both countries.
The two sides highlighted the need to continue making efforts to stop the Israeli aggression against the Palestinian people and to accelerate the delivery of the necessary humanitarian aid to the Palestinians in the Gaza Strip.
The Emir of Kuwait, 86, had been transferred to a hospital last Wednesday to receive treatment and undergo medical examinations following an emergency health issue.
In November 2021, the Emir of Kuwait issued an order requesting the assistance of Kuwait’s Crown Prince to exercise some of his constitutional powers on a temporary basis.
