Iraq’s April oil exports down due to bad weather

BAGHDAD / IraqiNews.com: Iraq ’s oil exports have decreased last April due to bad weather, an Oil Ministry source said on Monday.   “ Iraq ’s total oil exports last April had reached 64.2 million barrels, achieving US$7.342 billions, down from March’s oil exports that reached 66.9 million barrels, that achieved US$7.167 billions, due to the deteriorated weather in April,” the Oil Ministry source said.   “Bad weather conditions last April had caused the rapture of oil loading for several days, causing a decrease in oil exports that could have recorded   higher exports,” he added.   He put Iraq ’s April oil exports from Basra and Khor al-Omaya terminals on the Arab Gulf at 49.7 million barrels with an income of US$5.638 billions, whilst Kirkuk oil exports through the Turkish Ceyhan Terminal on the Mediterranean , have reached 14.5 million barrels for US$1.704 billions.   The Oil Ministry source said that the Iraqi oil exports have reached 114.26 US dollars per barrel that were loaded during the month of April through Basra terminals on the Gulf, Ceyhan Terminal on the Mediterranean and through mobile oil tankers through Jordan.   SKH (IT)   667
