Salah al-Din region divides Iraq

BAGHDAD / IraqiNews.com: A group of Iraqi thinkers and intellectuals said that the approval to establish Salah al-Din as a region will encourage other provinces to declare more regions, which will, ultimately, lead to the division of the country.  In a statement, of which IraqiNews.com received a copy, Assistant Secretary General of the Group Qutaiba Ammash criticized the calls to establish such a region in Salah al-Din province, similar to that of Kurdistan.  “Federalism and the formation of regions are Zionist plans,” he added.  “When the previous civil administrator of Iraq Bremer put this plan, it was to serve the Zionist goals which helped America to occupy and destroy Iraq.”  “Any one who calls for Bremer’s plan is a partner in the evil scheme which was created to destroy the unity and territorial integrity of Iraq,” he warned.
