Iraq discusses signing of cultural agreement with Romania

BAGHDAD / IraqiNews.com: Iraq ’s Ministry of Higher Education & Scientific Research has discussed in Bucharest on Wednesday, the signing of a joint agreement for cultural cooperation between Iraq and Romania , a statement by the Iraqi Cultural Attache in Bucharest said.   “The Iraqi Cultural Attache in Bucharest , Khamis Awad, has discussed the issue during a visit to the Romanian Foreign Ministry and his meeting with its Director-General,” the statement pointed out, adding that “the Romanian side had expressed readiness to cooperate with Iraq in signing an agreement that would achieve joint interest.”   Awad said that “the most important articles, cited in the draft-agreement was the allocation of a large number of seats for Iraqi students and scholarships granted for those students, as well as joint action to develop cooperation among related ministries and universities of both countries.”   SKH (ST) 478
