Kurdistan’s sports minister visits Spain’s Basque

Iraq-Baghdad ARBIL / IraqiNews.com: Media manager for Iraq’s Kurdistan region’s Ministry of Sports and Youth on Monday said that Minister Taha al-Berwari visited Spain’s region of Basque. “Al-Berwari, accompanied by Kurdistan region’s representative in Spain, Saleem Karafi, at the beginning of this week visited Spain’s region of Basque, aiming at reinforcing mutual sports relations,” Ameer Hachi Dawod told IraqiNews.com. “The Kurdish minister met his Basque counterpart, and asked her about mutual sports programs,” he said. “Basque’s minister expressed readiness to cooperate in the fields of sports and youth, stressing the ability to hold friendly games between the two regions’ teams,” he noted. “The two sides agreed that a delegation from the sports and youth ministry of the Iraqi Kurdistan would visit Spain’s Basque region, to learn more about the sport experience in the Spanish region,” he asserted.
