Civilian killed, 9 others injured in Baghdad blasts
BAGHDAD / IraqiNews.com: An Iraqi civilian has been killed in an explosive charge that blew up in his car on Sunday night, whilst 9 other civilians have been wounded in 3 explosions in different parts of Baghdad , a security source said. “An explosive charge, planted by unknown gunmen late Sunday night, in front of a shop selling alcohols in central Baghdad ’s Tayaran Square , blew up, wounding 3 civilians and causing damage to the shop,” the security source told IraqiNews.com news agency. He said that another explosive charge, planted on the roadside, in east Baghdad ’s Al-Sadr district, blew off against a small truck, belonging to the Ministry of Labor & Social Affairs, wounding its driver and a civilian that happened to be close to the venue of the blast, that caused damage to the car and other civilian cars. “A Quran Reader in Baghdad ’s al-Mihrab Martyr Institution has been killed early on Monday, when an explosive charge blew off under his car, while passing through north Baghdad ’s al-Husseiniya district,” the security source added. In conclusion, he said that southern Baghdad ’s Daura district had witnessed an explosive charge blast on Monday, wounding 4 civilians and causing damage for a number of civilian cars. SKH (IT)
