Iraq’s stability serves stability of Turkey, other states,

BAGHDAD / IraqiNews.com: The Speaker of the Iraqi Parliament, Usama al-Nujeify, has said during his meeting in Istanbul with Turkey’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, Ahmed Davutoglu, that “the stability of Iraq serves the stability of Turkey and other states of the Region,” according to a statement by Nujeify’s office on Monday.   The statement, copy of which was received by IraqiNews.com news agency, reported that Nujeify and Davutoglu have discussed in their meeting in Istanbul , where they attended a Parliamentary gathering there, “the bilateral relations and means for their future development.”   “Nujeify has reiterated during the meeting that Iraq ’s stability serves the stability of Turkey and other states of the Region,” the statement confirmed.   The Iraqi Parliament’s Speaker also confirmed “necessity of common understanding and continued discussions among the Region’s states, thing that serves the common interests of all those states,” pointing out that “the Region is witnessing a serious situation, demanding keenness and efforts to overcome any possible mistakes.”   The Turkish Foreign Affairs Minister, on his part, said that “all Region’s states must exert utmost efforts to enable the democratic program to succeed in Iraq ,” the statement concluded.   SKH (IT)     428
