IraqiNews.com correspondent receives shield of creativeness

BAGHDAD / IraqiNews.com: IraqiNews.com correspondent in Baghdad Adel Fakher received Shield of Creativeness from the Iraqi Association for the Defense of Journalists’ Rights, in appreciation of his role in supporting the Association, and the 8th Anniversary for its foundation. The appreciation was in big festival at the National Theatre in mid of Baghdad, attended by Chairman of the Iraqi Union of Journalists, editors-in-Chief of a number of newspapers, media personalities, academicians and journalists, as well as Premier’s adviser Hazim Al-Daraji and representative of Iraqiyah political bloc headed by Ayad Alawi. Head of the Association, Ibraheem Al-Saraji spoke on the work of the Association in its defence for the rights of journalists and other institutions and the violations committed against the journalists all over Iraq. Fakher expressed his gratitude for receiving this shield. He added to IraqiNews.com that the “Association exerted efforts to ensure the rights of journalists, stop the violations committed against them and its attempts to get a new law for journalists.” Musical opera was presented during the celebrations.
