Al-Iraqiya Coalition confirms non-submission of NCSP

BAGHDAD / IraqiNews.com: Al-Iraqiya Coalition has confirmed on Tuesday that the Coalition would never submit its right to chair the National Council for Strategic Policies (NCSP) and the talk about its possible chairmanship by the President or the Prime Minister stands counter to Arbil Agreement.   “The talk about the possible NCSP’s chairmanship by the Prime Minister or the President stands counter to Arbil Agreement and al-Iraqiya Coalition shall never submit it,” Al-Iraqiya Legislature, Mohammed al-Khalidy told IraqiNews.com news agency, adding that the NCSP “had been established for al-Iraqiya Coalition, being its national right.”   As regards to the dialogue with the National Coalition, Khalidy said that “The lines of dialogue with the National Coalition have stopped, though there are some mediations to convince the conflicting parties to sit back on the round table,” stressing about the existence of a new initiative to settle the crisis.   Meanwhile, Hassan al-Sunaid, a close associate with Iraq’s Prime Minister, Nouri al-Maliki, has told the semi-official al-Iraqiya TV Satellite Station that “al-Iraqiya Coalition‘s Leader, Iyad Allawi, does not suit to hold any political position in the State, because he had kept himself away from the national-partnership.”   “That is why the National Coalition (led by Prime Minister Maliki), stemming from cutting short the leading State positions, suggests the assignment of the NCSP’s chairmanship to the Prime Minister or the President,” Sunaid said.   Noteworthy is that al-Iraqiya Coalition’s Chairman, Iyad Allawi, had launched a strong attack on the Leader of al-Daawa Party, Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki, charging him with “lying, hypocrisy and deception,” and saying that Maliki had depended on the foreigner and Iran to get his prime minister’s post.   SKH (RT) 462
