Iraq scores 4 medals in youth boxing championship

BAGHDAD / IraqiNews.com: The Iraqi Youth Boxing Team has scored 4 different awards in Turkey’s International Boxing Championship on Sunday, with Iraq being the only Arab country participating in the championship, the Secretary of the Iraqi Boxing Union reported. “Iraq’s Youth Boxing Team has scored a gold award and 3 bronze awards in Turkey’s International Boxing Championship, with Iraq being the only Arab country attending the games, attended by 9 countries – France, Spain, Sweden, Greece, Ukraine, Kazakhstan, and Azerbaijan, as well as the host country Turkey,” Firas Mousa told IraqiNews.com news agency. He said that Iraq had participated in the said International Championship with six Boxers – Murtaza Raad – 49 kg, Ammar Jabbar – 52 kg, Amir Kazim – 56 kg, Khalil Ibrahim – 64 kg, Zeidun Tareq – 69, Dhulfiqar Abdul-Karim – 81 kg, and Bahaa Sami – 91 kg. “The Iraqi Boxer who scored the gold was Murtaza Raad Qassim – 49 kg, whilst the three boxers who scored the bronze awards were Zeidun Tareq – 69, Bahaa Sami – 91 and Dhilfiqar Abdul-Karim – 81 kg.
