Sadrist Trend denies media reports

BAGHDAD / IraqiNews.com: Sadrist Leader’s spokesman denied that Muqtada al-Sadr demanded a referendum for the regions’ project.  In a statement issued by the Sadrist Political Authority Sheikh Salah al-Obaidi, he denied media reports on the referendum.  Obaidi said that Muqtada al-Sadr “sees that the discussion of the federal question during this period, or before the U.S. withdrawal, is infringing on the unity of Iraq, because the U.S. division plan is still an agenda used by the occupier each time.” RM (TP)/SR 493
