Iraq’s Finance Minister in Tehran to discuss joint investment

BAGHDAD / IraqiNews.com: Iraq ’s Finance Minister, Rafi’e al-Issawi has discussed in Tehran on Tuesday with Iran ’s 1 st Vice-President, Mohammed Riza Rahimi, putting an end to the “obstacles” facing joint investment in both countries, according to the Iranian semi-official Fars News Agency.   “Issawi had discussed in his meeting with Rahimi “the ending of obstacles, facing joint investment, taking into consideration the existence of joint investment cooperation between Iranian and Iraqi companies,” Fars reported.   It quoted Rahimi as having expressed “ Iran ’s readiness to help Iraq get its experiences,” adding that “ Tehran does not lay any obstacles in the face of developing bilateral relations between both countries.”   Rahimy expressed hope to “sign, during his scheduled visit for Iraq agreements and Memos of Understanding to double the size of trade exchange between both countries, under the current circumstances.”   SKH (IT) 661
