Kuwait calls on Iraq to implement UN Security Council’s resolutions, in order to get out of UN’s 7th Article.

BAGHDAD / IraqiNews.com: Kuwait ’s Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister, Mohammed al-Subah, has said on Saturday that the only way for Iraq to get out of the UN Charter’s 7 th Article, is to implement all UN Security Council resolutions.   “ Iraq must complete its implementation of all UN Security Council resolutions, being the only means for it to get out of the UN Charter’s Article 7,” Subah told Kuwaiti al-Qabas newspaper.   Subah, the newspaper said had renewed his government’s position, through a phone call with the U.S. State Secretary, Hillary Clinton on Friday, who had “thanked Kuwait for the facilities it had given to secure the departure of the American forces from Iraq , along with discussing the situation in the whole Region.”   Iraq suffers from economic sanctions imposed on it according to the UN Charter’s Article 7, taken after UN Security Council’s Resolution No. 678 of 1990, imposed after the entrance of the Iraqi Forces into Kuwait in August of the same year, the resolution which allowed the use of the armed forces to force Iraq out of Kuwait .   SKH (IT) 806
