Baghdad Mayoralty allocates lands for Journalists
BAGHDAD / IraqiNews.com: The Baghdad Mayoralty has completed the process of allocating patches of land for housing members of the Iraqi Journalists Syndicate in Baghdad’s Karkh and Rusafa sides, a statement by the Mayoralty’s Media & Relations Office reported on Wednesday. “The Designs Department has completed recently the surveying and allocation of patches of lands, allocated by the Mayoralty for housing members of the Iraqi Journalists Syndicate, in the form of investment and according to the double-story building compounds,” the statement stressed. It added that “the Mayoralty had presented its demand to the Investment Committee of Baghdad Mayoralty, to grant the special license for investing patches of land in east Baghdad’s Rusafa Side’s Thaalba area, stretching to 80 donums and East Baghdad Khark’s Ghazaliya area, covering 50 donums. “The Designs Department is also preparing the designs to allocate the said patches of land, in order to present them to the related Municipal offices and the Real-Estate Department to implement the designs,” it stressed, adding that “the conditions of investment stressed that the construction should be on several-story building designs, with 45-65 percent of the land to be allocated for the building of the compounds and the rest to cover service buildings for the said compounds.” SKH (TI)/SR 424
