Iraq’s Parliament to discuss draft-law on NCSP

BAGHDAD / IraqiNews.com: The Iraqi Parliament is scheduled to witness in its session today (Thursday) the 1 st reading of the National Council for Strategic Policies (NCSP), the Council’s Media official reported.   “Today’s session includes the first reading for the draft-law on the NCSP and 1 st readings for the draft-law on the Oil and Gas, as well as the Facts Finding Committee and Iraq ’s Development Fund,” the official told IraqiNews.com news agency.   Iraq’s political blocs have agreed in a meeting they held on Tuesday, Aug. 2, 2011, at the residence of President Jalal Talabani, on several points, among them the passing of the NCSP’s draft-law to the Parliament, along with agreement on presenting new candidates for the Defense and Interior Minister’s posts, within 2 weeks from the said date, in order to settle that dossier.   “The Parliament’s session today is scheduled to include the discussion of the government’s program with the Human Rights Minister and listen to the 2 nd reading for the 1 st adjustment of the University Service Law No. 23 of 2008 and the 2 nd reading for draft-law to adjust the Custom Charges Law No. 22 of 2010,” the Media source said.   SKH (IT) 978
