Iraq’s Sadrist MP warns from laying obstacles against journalists activity

BAGHDAD / IraqiNews.com: A Legislature from Iraq’s Ahrar (Liberals) Bloc has warned from the seriousness of laying obstacles in the way of the activity of journalists, confirming that undermining their activity represents a return back to the dictatorship and the power of a One Party, pointing out that the political process lacks the freedom of press.   “The political process lacks the freedom of press,” Awad al-Awadi was quoted to have said, according to a statement by the Political Commission of ‘Martyr Sadr’s Bureau.’   “Laying obstacles on the way of journalists is equal to laying obstacles in the way of the political process,” he said, adding that “ Iraq is in great need that the political process becomes a successful process.”   SKH (ST)
