BAGHDAD / IraqiNews.com: A young Iraqi pilot, who had achieved a record in flying in a jet fighter, has appealed to the government to support his dream to become the first Iraqi to fly to the Outer Space. “I have the wish and ability to fly to the Outer Space, and this wish needs efforts and possibilities to support such project; and I hope the Iraqi government to support me to achieve my dream to pass the Earth atmosphere and reach to the Outer Space,” Farid Lafta told IraqiNews.com news agency. Farid Lafta had achieved a record in flying to the limits of the Outer Space, reaching 900,000 feet high, being the first Iraqi and Arab civilian pilot to fly a Mig-29 aircraft to such a high altitude.
