Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) – The US Energy Information Administration (EIA) announced on Sunday that Iraq’s oil exports to the United States rose last week.

The EIA mentioned that the average US imports of crude oil during the past week from nine major countries reached approximately 5.09 million barrels per day, a decline of 314,000 barrels per day compared to the previous week, where US oil imports reached around 5.41 million barrels per day, Shafaq News reported.

Iraq’s oil exports to the United States reached 142,000 barrels per day last week, an increase of 51,000 barrels per day compared to the previous week, when Iraq exported 91,000 barrels per day.

The EIA indicated that most of the United States imports of crude oil during the past week came from Canada at an average of 3.54 million barrels per day, followed by Saudi Arabia with an average of 531,000 barrels per day and Brazil with an average of 257,000 barrels per day.

The United States imported an average of 231,000 barrels per day from Ecuador, 114,000 barrels per day from Colombia, 43,000 barrels per day from Nigeria, and 24,000 barrels per day from Libya.

According to the EIA, the United States did not import crude oil from Russia in the past week.
