Police colonel killed in north Mosul

BAGHDAD / IraqiNews.com: A police colonel was killed by unknown armed group north of Mosul, security sources said here today.   The source told IraqiNews.com that the armed group opened fire and killed him immediately at the entrance of his house.   The culprits fled the crime scene.   No other details were given.   Mosul, center of Ninewa province, lies 405 km north of the capital, Baghdad.
