150 films from 32 states in Baghdad International Cinematography Festival
BAGHDAD / IraqiNews.com: More than 150 films would be screened by 32 Arab and Foreign states in the Baghdad Cinematography Festival, scheduled to convene in the Iraqi Capital from Oct. 3 to 10 next, the Festival’s DG, Taher Alwan, said on Sunday. “The films to be screened in the Festival had exceeded 150 films from 32 countries,” Taher Alwan stated on Sunday, adding that the number of short films had reached 31 from 18 countries,” he added. He said that the countries that would share in the Festival were the Netherlands , France , Egypt , Algeria , Morocco , Belgium , Iran , Kuwait , Lebanon , Poland , Australia , Tunisia , Saudi Arabia , Denmark , Oman , the UAE, Bahrain and Iraq . “The Festival’s session this year would witness the largest participation in the history of an Iraqi festival, where film shows and symposiums would be held in 3 theaters, that were rehabilitated in Baghdad to witness 35-mlm film shows,” he concluded.
