Kuwait’s “violations” due to Iraq’s non-existence of Defense Minister – MP

BAGHDAD / IraqiNews.com: An Iraqi Legislature, representing al-Ahrar (Liberals) bloc has described the Kuwaiti “violations” against Iraq as having taken place due to “the absence of an Iraqi Defense Minister to run the Defense Ministry.”   “The violations by the State of Kuwait against Iraq took place due to the absence of the Defense Minister’s post to steer the Iraqi Defense Ministry, thing that pushed Kuwait to undermine Iraq’s sovereignty, because of the significance of the Defense Ministry in protecting the State of Iraq, militarily and security-wise,” Uday Awad told IraqiNews.com news agency.   Awad said that the detention of Iraqi fishermen by Kuwaiti Coastal Guards had been another evidence on Kuwait’s violations against Iraq and targeting it politically and security-wise.   Southern Iraq’s Faw Township’s Mayor, Walid al-Sharify, had stated for IraqiNews.com that Kuwait’s Coastal Guards have abducted 11 Iraqi fishermen, who had been fishing in Khor-Abdullah inside the Iraqi territorial waters.
